Banana Cake
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1.5 cup mashed bananas
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
Cream Cheese Frosting
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 package cream cheese 8oz/250g, softened
  • 2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Banana Cake Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until combined. Add eggs, mashed bananas, and vanilla extract and beat until combined.
  3. In another bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and salt. Add to wet mixture and stir to combine.
  4. Pour into prepared baking pan. Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out cleanly from the center. Cool completely.
Cream Cheese Frosting Preparation
  1. Beat softened butter and cream cheese together until smooth. Gradually add in powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth. Spread over cooled cake.
