  • 3 tablespoons salted butter
  • 0.5 teaspoon homemade chai spice
  • 48 count large marshmallows approx. 1 regular 12 oz. bag
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies Cereal

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Line a 9x9-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Heat the butter in a large pot over medium/high heat. Melt the butter until little brown bits form in the butter. Remove the pot from the heat so it doesn’t burn.
  3. Whisk the chai spice into the brown butter.
  4. Add the marshmallows to the pot and stir until they are coated in butter and begin to melt. If they continue to melt, keep stirring. If they stop melting, return the pot to the burner and heat over low heat. Stir the marshmallows consistently until melted.
  5. Remove them from the heat and add the rice crispies. Stir until combined.
  6. Transfer the mixture to the lined pan and lightly press the rice crispies into the pan. Option to dust the top with more chai spice.
  7. Let the mixture set for at least 30 minutes, Slice and enjoy!

Notes

Allow the treats to cool completely for easier and cleaner slicing.
