  • 16 oz boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 pound country style pork ribs (boneless)
  • 2 ea bay leaves
  • 1 large chicken bouillon (such as Knorr)
  • 0.25 teaspoon cumin
  • 8 cups water
  • 1 medium head cabbage (chopped) (about 9 cups)
  • 3 medium carrots (chopped)
  • 2 large leeks (whites only, chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 yellow pepper chopped
  • 1.5 oz brandy (omit if you don't drink alcohol)
  • 0.75 teaspoon kosher salt black pepper, to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon Sazon (or turmeric, optional for color)

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Chop meat into small chunks.
  2. In a large pot, combine chicken, pork, water, bouillon, bay leaves, and cumin. Bring to a boil, then simmer about 15 minutes on medium heat.
  3. Add the vegetables and remaining ingredients to the pot.
  4. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 45 minutes.
