Preparation Steps
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix with an electric mixer or by hand until a thick dough forms.
- If desired, fold in the chocolate chips or other mix-ins.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the centers are set. Do not overbake to keep them soft.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 2-3 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
