Preparation Steps
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 9-inch cake pan.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- Add melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and milk to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
- Fold in diced apples. Pour batter into prepared cake pan.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow cake to cool, then spread caramel sauce over the top.
Notes
You can add chopped nuts for extra crunch or top with whipped cream.
