Preparation Steps
- Heat oil in a deep heavy-bottomed skillet to 375°F. Use a thermometer to monitor the temperature.
- Mix cream cheese, sriracha, and green onions in a bowl until well combined.
- Place 1.5 teaspoons of the mixture in the center of a wonton wrapper.
- Brush the edges of the wrapper with beaten egg, fold into a triangle, and seal.
- Fold the triangle into an envelope shape, pressing edges to seal.
- Repeat with remaining mixture and wrappers.
- Fry wontons in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- Serve immediately with dipping sauce.
