  • 2 large ripe bananas
  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1 tsp canola oil
  • colored sprinkles optional
  • 4 pcs popsicle sticks

Preparation Steps
  1. Peel the bananas and cut them in half lengthwise, then in half crosswise to create four quarters.
  2. Insert a popsicle stick into each banana quarter.
  3. Place the banana quarters on a parchment-lined tray and freeze until solid, about 2 hours.
  4. Melt the chocolate with canola oil in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 30-second intervals and stirring until smooth.
  5. Dip each frozen banana quarter into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off.
  6. Quickly sprinkle with optional sprinkles before the chocolate hardens.
  7. Place the dipped bananas back on the parchment-lined tray and freeze until chocolate is set, about 30 minutes.
  8. Serve and enjoy the frozen banana popsicles!

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding a few drops of vanilla extract to the melted chocolate.
