Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 0.25 cup molasses
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup white chocolate chips and dark chocolate chips or bar (melted) (optional for decoration)
  • Candy Color (red and green)
  • Festive sprinkles (optional, for decoration)

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease and line a 9x9 baking pan with parchment paper, allowing a slight overhang for easy removal.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add molasses, egg, and vanilla extract; mix until fully combined.
  4. In a separate medium bowl, whisk together flour, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Spread batter evenly into prepared pan. Bake for 25 minutes or until edges are set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with few moist crumbs. Cool in pan.
  7. Melt white chocolate in microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  8. Drizzle melted white chocolate over cooled blondies; add sprinkles as desired.
  9. Once chocolate is set, cut into squares and serve.
