Preparation Steps
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with olive oil cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, Italian sausage, egg, breadcrumbs, parmesan, diced onion, half & half, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until combined.
- Using a cookie scoop, form 15 meatballs and place on a plate. Flatten each into a disc about 3.5 inches wide.
- Place one mozzarella cube into the center of each disc. Fold sides up and around the cheese, sealing completely and shaping into a ball.
- Arrange the stuffed meatballs on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes until browned and cooked through.
- Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Heat marinara sauce in a skillet over medium-low heat.
- Serve meatballs topped with warmed marinara sauce and garnish with chopped parsley.
Notes
Ensure cheese is properly sealed inside the meatball to prevent oozing during baking.
