Preparation Steps
  1. Remove hardware from the furniture and clean the entire surface thoroughly.
  2. Apply a primer evenly across the entire furniture surface and allow it to dry completely.
  3. Paint the furniture with two coats of latex paint, allowing each coat to dry as recommended.
  4. Distress the edges if desired, then apply a clear polyurethane to seal and protect the paint.

Notes

For a shabby-chic look, lightly sand the edges after painting.
