Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Using a stand mixer, beat cold butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy.
- Add the egg and egg yolk, mixing until combined.
- Mix in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cake flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, mixing on low until just incorporated.
- Stir in chocolate chips and peanut butter chips.
- Shape dough into 8 large balls (~6 oz each) and place on prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 12 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
- Cool on baking sheet for 10 minutes before transferring to wire rack.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
