Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 package Taco Seasoning
  • 0.5 cup Water
  • 1 bag Tortilla Chips 13-ounce
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheese
Toppings (Optional)
  • Fresh Tomatoes diced
  • 0.5 cup Red Onion diced
  • Fresh Cilantro chopped
  • Jalapenos sliced
  • Black Olives sliced
  • Sour Cream

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until thoroughly browned. Drain any excess fat if needed.
  2. Return the pan to heat. Add the taco seasoning and 0.5 cup of water to the cooked beef. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook until the sauce thickens slightly.
  3. Arrange tortilla chips in a single layer on a large sheet pan with sides. Evenly layer the cooked beef mixture over the chips, then sprinkle with shredded cheese.
  4. Broil on HIGH for approximately 1 minute, or until the cheese is perfectly melted and bubbly. Keep a close eye on it to prevent burning.
  5. Remove from the oven and top with fresh tomatoes, red onion, cilantro, jalapenos, black olives, and a dollop of sour cream before serving immediately.

Notes

These nachos are highly customizable! Feel free to add your favorite toppings like black beans, corn, or guacamole.
