Preparation Steps
- Season the chicken breasts with taco seasoning, ensuring both sides are coated evenly.
- Pour about half the salsa into the bottom of the slow cooker, mixing with water. Place the seasoned chicken on top.
- Pour the remaining salsa over the chicken, ensuring it's fully covered.
- Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or high for about 3 hours until the chicken is cooked through.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken using two forks and mix it with the salsa remaining in the slow cooker. Cover and cook for an additional 30 minutes on low to allow flavors to meld.
- Serve the shredded chicken in tacos, over nachos, or in a bowl with your favorite toppings.
