  • 6 tbsp natural unsweetened cocoa
  • 0.25 tsp baking powder
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs eggs
  • 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups freeze dried strawberries
  • 0.67 cup rice krispie cereal

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (176°C). Grease a 9×9 baking pan or line it with parchment paper or aluminum foil, which you can use to remove the brownies from the pan when they are done.
  2. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In another medium-sized bowl, combine the melted butter, sugar, and vanilla extract.
  4. Add the eggs and mix until well combined.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture and mix until well incorporated.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs. Remove from oven and let cool.
  8. To prepare the topping, melt the chocolate chips with heavy cream and honey until smooth.
  9. Stir in vanilla extract, strawberries, and cereal into the chocolate mixture.
  10. Pour the chocolate mixture over the cooled brownies and spread into an even layer.
  11. Refrigerate for 3-4 hours until the topping is firm. Cut into bars and serve.
