Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 0.5 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp white vinegar
  • 2 cups cold water

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. Add flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt to a large bowl. Stir to combine. Make 3 wells in mixture.
  3. Add vanilla, oil and vinegar to each of the wells. Pour in cold water and beat until no lumps are left.
  4. Pour into an ungreased 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool before cutting.
